“One generation shall praise your works to another…” Psalm 145:4
A little over ten years ago my family joined a group of leaders who were convinced God created Beltway Park for one purpose: to share with people the healing message of God’s grace and love for every person in Jesus Christ. This purpose is why we exist, and it is why we do what we do. I am convinced God has extended an immeasurable amount of grace to us as a people because we have sought to keep this priority in all that we do. I am so honored and proud to be a part of a people who will do whatever it takes to continue in sharing the amazing heart of God for every person.
As we have done this, God continues to work in amazing ways among us. There are literally thousands of stories of how people have experienced significant life change from our God through what He is doing at Beltway Park. I never cease to be amazed at our God and how He will stop at nothing to reach people!
Because of the many people God has brought to Beltway Park, we are now at a critical point in the history of our church family. Physical space constraints make it tough to properly accommodate new families and their children; worship center seats are more difficult to find; other ministries are forced to use obscure places within our facility or relocate altogether to Wylie Junior High across from the church; lack of adequate parking has people literally driving away before they even get into the building. It is clear to the Elders of Beltway Park that God has called upon us to respond to these challenges.
The Generations Campaign is about continuing our primary purpose of reaching people. It is not ultimately about buildings, but about extending the kingdom of God and caring for those individuals and families God brings to us. Throughout this website you will learn the details of our vision for what lies ahead and about your opportunity to participate. The Elders of Beltway Park are asking each person associated with our church to truly seek the Father about what He wants to do through each of us to continue to touch lives in the years to come.
I admit that the Generations Campaign and expanding our current facility can seem ominous and overwhelming. It is truly something only God can orchestrate and make possible, but we have always said around Beltway Park that we want to be a part of things that only God can do. I know God wants to change even more lives through this church family and I know He is giving us the opportunity to join Him in this most significant of opportunities.
In Christ,
David McQueen
